SEB's capital adequacy ratio reached 22.2% at the end of 2018, down from 24.2% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s capital ratio hit an all time high of 24.8% in 2016 and an all time low of 8.40% in 1992.

The Tier 1 ratio amounted to 19.7% at the end of 2018, down from 21.6% compared to a year earlier.

Bank's loan to deposit ratio reached 140% at the end of 2018, down from 141% when compared to the previous year. Some 10 years ago, loan to deposit ratio of the bank amounted to 178%.
