Historically, total spice consumption in Myanmar reached an all time high of 141 kt in 2019 and an all time low of 12.7 kt in 1961. When compared to Myanmar's main peers, total spice consumption in China amounted to 703 kt, 5,394 kt in India, 17.0 kt in Laos and 507 kt in Thailand in 2021.
