Unmanufactured tobacco production fell 23.0% to 2,952 tonnes in Niger in 2021, according to the National Statistical Office.

Historically, unmanufactured tobacco production in Niger reached an all time high of 4,900 tonnes in 1998 and an all time low of 185 tonnes in 1968. When compared to Niger's main peers, unmanufactured tobacco production in Algeria amounted to 9,427 tonnes, 180 tonnes in Chad, 1,273 tonnes in Libya and 1,202 tonnes in Mali in 2021.
