Historically, total coal consumption in Belarus reached an all time high of 2,050 kt in 1992 and an all time low of 87.1 kt in 2010. When compared to Belarus's main peers, total coal consumption in Lithuania amounted to 278 kt, 148,717 kt in Poland, 228,176 kt in Russia and 45,503 kt in Ukraine in 2015.
