Historically, total coal consumption in Croatia reached an all time high of 1,333 kt in 2004 and an all time low of 295 kt in 1995. When compared to Croatia's main peers, total coal consumption in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 8,922 kt, 1,896 kt in Montenegro, 42,594 kt in Serbia and 3,967 kt in Slovenia in 2015.
