Total coal consumption rose 5.52% to 1,896 kt in Montenegro in 2015, according to the National Statistical Office.
Historically, total coal consumption in Montenegro reached an all time high of 2,126 kt in 2011 and an all time low of 1,033 kt in 2009. When compared to Montenegro's main peers, total coal consumption in Albania amounted to 113 kt, 8,922 kt in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1,098 kt in Croatia and 42,594 kt in Serbia in 2015.
