Historically, total primary coal production in Nepal reached an all time high of 22.0 kt in 2006 and an all time low of 1.10 kt in 1992. When compared to Nepal's main peers, total primary coal production in Bangladesh amounted to 1,026 kt, 94.0 kt in Bhutan, 4,376,984 kt in China and 643,720 kt in India in 2015.
