Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of EUR 3,185 mil in 2016 and an all time low of EUR 2,187 mil in 2007. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to EUR 2,924 mil.
Bank's total revenues accounted for 2.30% of total assets in 2016, up from 2.37% a year earlier.
Comparing Erste Bank Austria with its closest peers, Bank Austria Group generated total revenues of EUR 1,734 mil, or 1.64% of assets in 2016, Erste Savings Banks operated with EUR 1,446 mil total income, or 2.48% revenue margin and Erste Bank Core Austria produced total income worth EUR 1,057 mil, or 2.55% of assets.
Austrian banking sector generated total revenues of EUR 18,984 mil in 2016, down 8.79% when compared to the previous year. As a result, the top ranked company - Erste Bank Austria accounted for 16.8% of the sector’s total income in 2016. The top 3 companies held a 33.5% share while the five largest firms some 44.3% in 2016.
