MONETA Money Bank's net interest margin amounted to 6.13% in 1Q2016, down from 6.19% when compared to the previous quarter and up from 5.61% when compared to the same period of last year.
Historically, the bank’s net interest margin reached an all time high of 7.49% in 4Q2004 and an all time low of 4.59% in 2Q2010. The average margin in the last five years amounted to 5.78%.
Average asset yield was 6.26% in 1Q2016, up from 5.77% when compared to previous year. On the other hand, cost of funding amounted to 0.168% in 1Q2016, down from 0.221%.
When compared to the nearest peers, Banka Creditas operated in 1Q2016 with a net interest margin of 2.79% Ceska Sporitelna reached 2.61% and Equa Bank some 2.57%.
The average net interest margin reached 1.92% in the Czech banking sector in 1Q2016 while interest spread amounted to 3.79%.
