Based on a comparison of 21 banks in Czechia in 3Q2018, Fio banka operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by PPF Banka and Banka Creditas.
Fio banka's loan to deposit ratio reached 13.1% at the end of 3Q2018, up from 11.3% when compared to the previous quarter and up from 11.5% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 42.6% in 1Q2012 and an all time low of 11.3% in 2Q2018.
When compared to the nearest peers, PPF Banka ended the year 3Q2018 with loans to deposits at 24.1%, Banka Creditas with 41.3% and Air Bank some 44.6% of loans to deposits at the end of 3Q2018.
Overall, total loans of the Czech banking sector amounted to 73.9% of deposits at the end of 3Q2018.
