Based on a comparison of 10 banks in Hungary in 2016, OTP Group generated the largest revenues, followed by OTP Bank Hungary and K&H Bank.

OTP Group reported total revenues of HUF 851,732 mil, down 11.5% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s revenues containing of interest, fee and other non-interest income reached an all time high of HUF 1,084,520 mil in 2014 and an all time low of HUF 36,494 mil in 1993. The average revenue in the last five years amounted to HUF 950,121 mil.

Bank's total revenues accounted for 7.60% of total assets in 2016, down from 8.98% a year earlier.

Comparing OTP Group with its closest peers, OTP Bank Hungary generated total revenues of HUF 354,698 mil, or 4.96% of assets in 2016, K&H Bank operated with HUF 157,174 mil total income, or 5.50% revenue margin and UniCredit Bank Hungary produced total income worth HUF 129,516 mil, or 4.73% of assets.

Hungarian banking sector generated total revenues of HUF 180,186 mil in 2016, up 3.46% when compared to the previous year. As a result, the top ranked company - OTP Group accounted for 473% of the sector’s total income in 2016. The top 3 companies held a 757% share while the five largest firms some 889% in 2016.
