Based on a comparison of 10 banks in Hungary in 2016, OTP Bank Hungary operated with the lowest loan to deposit ratio, followed by K&H Bank and MKB Bank.

OTP Bank Hungary's loan to deposit ratio reached 53.2% at the end of 2016, down from 53.3% when compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s loans to deposits hit an all time high of 99.6% in 2008 and an all time low of 53.2% in 2016.

Comparing OTP Bank Hungary with its closest peers, K&H Bank ended the year 2016 with loans to deposits at 55.3%, MKB Bank with 56.5% and Raiffeisen Bank Hungary some 63.0% of loans to deposits at the end of 2016.
