Based on a comparison of 11 banks in Poland in 2Q2016, PKO BP was the largest bank by assets, followed by Pekao and Santander Bank Polska.

PKO BP assets reached PLN 272,442 mil, up 2.00% when compared to the previous quarter and up 6.62% when compared to the same period of last year. Historically, the bank’s assets reached an all time high of PLN 272,442 mil in 2Q2016 and an all time low of PLN 82,487 mil in 1Q2004.

When compared to the nearest peers, Pekao assets amounted to PLN 166,012 mil, Santander Bank Polska operated with PLN 142,249 mil assets and mBank had total assets of PLN 128,733 mil.

Total assets of the Polish banking sector amounted to CZK 5,844 bil in 2Q2016, up 6.98% when compared to the last year.
