Based on a comparison of 75 countries in 2014, Belgium ranked the highest in nurses and midwives per 1,000 people with 16.8 followed by Denmark and Norway. On the other end of the scale was Ethiopia with 0.241, Malawi with 0.302 and Mozambique with 0.412.
