Based on a comparison of 158 countries in 2016, Central African Republic ranked the highest in pupil to teacher ratio in primary education with 80.4 persons followed by Malawi and Ethiopia. On the other end of the scale was Oman with 6.54 persons, Liechtenstein with 7.85 persons and Luxembourg with 8.17 persons.
