Based on a comparison of 33 countries in 2010, Belgium ranked the highest in railway density measured by km of road per 1,000 km2 of land area with 211 km followed by Czech Republic and United Kingdom. On the other end of the scale was Kyrgyzstan with 2.00 km, Russia with 5.00 km and Norway with 13.0 km.
