Based on a comparison of 65 countries in 2010, Malta ranked the highest in road density measured by km of road per 100 km2 of land area with 968 km followed by Belgium and Singapore. On the other end of the scale was Mongolia with 0.717 km, Kazakhstan with 3.52 km and Algeria with 4.77 km.
