Based on a comparison of 167 countries in 2015, China ranked the highest in cereal production with 550,018 kt followed by USA and India. On the other end of the scale was Djibouti with 0.016 kt, Maldives with 0.188 kt and Puerto Rico with 0.618 kt.

Total cereal production reached 2,572,596 kt in 2015 in the World according to Faostat. This is 0.12 % more than in the previous year and 11.8 % more than 10 years ago.
