Based on a comparison of 167 countries in 2019, Luxembourg ranked the highest in exports as a share of GDP with 2.09% followed by Hong Kong and Singapore. On the other end of the scale was Afghanistan with 0.059%, Sudan with 0.077% and Ethiopia with 0.079%.

Average exports as a share of GDP reached 0.305% in 2019 in the World according to the National Statistical Office. This is 1.29 % less than in the previous year and -1.95 % less than 10 years ago.
