Who Achieved the Highest Interest Margin Among Indonesian Financials in 2019?

Based on a comparison of 20 banks among Indonesian Financials in 2019, BCA Finance operated with the highest net interest margin, followed by Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional and Home Credit Indonesia.

BCA Finance's net interest margin amounted to 31.7% in 2019, down from 31.7% when compared to the previous year.

Historically, the bank’s net interest margin reached an all time high of 31.7% in 2018 and an all time low of 25.1% in 2016. The average margin in the last five years amounted to 27.6%.

Average asset yield was 33.1% in 2019, down from 33.1% when compared to previous year. On the other hand, cost of funding amounted to 2.83% in 2019, down from 2.83%.

Comparing BCA Finance with its closest peers, Bank Tabungan Pensiunan Nasional operated in 2019 with a net interest margin of 29.1% Home Credit Indonesia reached 28.5% and Federal International Finance some 23.0%.
