Based on a comparison of 20 banks among Indonesian Financials, Bank Rakyat produced the highest net profit in 2018, followed by Bank Central Asia and Bank Mandiri.

Bank Rakyat made a net profit of IDR 32,347 bil, up 11.6% compared to the previous year. Historically, the bank’s net profit reached an all time high of IDR 32,347 bil in 2018 and an all time low of IDR 1,064 bil in 2001. The average profit in the last five years amounted to IDR 27,422 bil.

The bank generated an average return on equity of 21.7% for its shareholders in the last five years with a maximum of 27.3% and a minimum of 18.3%.

Comparing Bank Rakyat with its closest peers, Bank Central Asia generated a net profit of IDR 25,853 bil with a ROE of 18.3% in 2018, Bank Mandiri netted IDR 24,999 bil (ROE of 14.1%) and Bank Negara announced a net profit of IDR 15,013 bil giving a ROE of 14.2%.
