Historically, bismuth production in Kazakhstan reached an all time high of 252 tonnes in 2001 and an all time low of 13.0 tonnes in 1997. When compared to Kazakhstan's main peers, bismuth production in China amounted to 1,453 tonnes and 70.0 tonnes in Russia in 2008.
