Copper (smelter) production reached 385 kt in 2015 in Kazakhstan, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 35.4 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, copper (smelter) production in Kazakhstan reached an all time high of 446 kt in 2002 and an all time low of 266 kt in 1995. When compared to Kazakhstan's main peers, copper (smelter) production in China amounted to 5,500 kt, 661 kt in Russia and 100 kt in Uzbekistan in 2015.
