Corporate loans reached 31.0 BGN bil in 2017 in Bulgaria, according to the National Central Bank. This is 1.61 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, corporate loans in Bulgaria reached an all time high of 35.1 BGN bil in 2013 and an all time low of 0.329 BGN bil in 1995. When compared to Bulgaria's main peers, corporate loans in Greece amounted to 82.0 EUR bil, 104 RON bil in Romania, 1,012 RSD bil in Serbia and 1,571 TRY bil in Turkey in 2017.
Bulgaria has been ranked 68th within the group of 91 countries we follow in terms of corporate loans, 19 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
