Corporate loans reached 5,773 HUF bil in 2017 in Hungary, according to the National Central Bank. This is 10.6 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, corporate loans in Hungary reached an all time high of 7,530 HUF bil in 2008 and an all time low of 592 HUF bil in 1990. When compared to Hungary's main peers, corporate loans in Austria amounted to 142 EUR bil, 1,022 CZK bil in Czech Republic, 353 PLN bil in Poland and 17.5 EUR bil in Slovakia in 2017.
Hungary has been ranked 13th within the group of 91 countries we follow in terms of corporate loans, 10 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
