Corporate loans reached 565 EUR bil in 2017 in Italy, according to the National Central Bank. This is 11.0 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, corporate loans in Italy reached an all time high of 731 EUR bil in 2010 and an all time low of 565 EUR bil in 2017. When compared to Italy's main peers, corporate loans in Austria amounted to 142 EUR bil, 965 EUR bil in France and 8.29 EUR bil in Slovenia in 2017.
Italy has been ranked 42nd within the group of 91 countries we follow in terms of corporate loans, 23 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
