Based on a comparison of 160 countries in 2019, China ranked the highest in electricity production from solar photovoltaic with 177,200 GWh followed by USA and Japan. On the other end of the scale was Zambia with 1.00 GWh, Lesotho with 1.00 GWh and Congo with 0.100 GWh.
