Historically, final stocks of wine in France reached an all time high of 60,607 1,000 hl in 2005 and an all time low of 31,322 1,000 hl in 1970. When compared to France's main peers, final stocks of wine in Belgium amounted to 351 1,000 hl, 12,057 1,000 hl in Germany, 42,692 1,000 hl in Italy and 29,031 1,000 hl in Spain in 2016.
