Historically, fish consumption per capita in Cyprus reached an all time high of 23.3 kg in 2011 and an all time low of 3.12 kg in 1974. When compared to Cyprus's main peers, fish consumption per capita in Egypt amounted to 21.9 kg, 19.8 kg in Greece, 20.5 kg in Israel and 7.40 kg in Turkey in 2013.
