Historically, fish consumption per capita in Vietnam reached an all time high of 34.4 kg in 2009 and an all time low of 10.2 kg in 1981. When compared to Vietnam's main peers, fish consumption per capita in Cambodia amounted to 35.6 kg, 32.4 kg in China, 16.8 kg in Laos and 23.4 kg in Thailand in 2013.
