Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Bulgaria reached an all time high of 2,602 USD mil in 2008 and an all time low of 312 USD mil in 1995. When compared to Bulgaria's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Greece amounted to 3,308 USD mil, 4,228 USD mil in Romania, 1,548 USD mil in Serbia and 5,181 USD mil in Turkey in 2017.
