Historically, expenditure of international tourism in Uruguay reached an all time high of 1,604 USD mil in 2014 and an all time low of 236 USD mil in 2003. When compared to Uruguay's main peers, expenditure of international tourism in Argentina amounted to 13,516 USD mil, 22,991 USD mil in Brazil, 2,982 USD mil in Chile and 545 USD mil in Paraguay in 2017.
