Number of international tourist arrivals reached 9.12 mil in 2018 in Belgium, according to Eurostat. This is 8.75 % more than in the previous year.

Historically, number of international tourist arrivals in Belgium reached an all time high of 9.12 mil in 2018 and an all time low of 5.56 mil in 1995. When compared to Belgium's main peers, number of international tourist arrivals in France amounted to 89.3 mil, 38.9 mil in Germany, 1.02 mil in Luxembourg and 18.8 mil in Netherlands in 2018.

Belgium has been ranked 46th within the group of 144 countries we follow in terms of number of international tourist arrivals, 10 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.

The number of international tourists who travel to a country other than that in which they have their usual residence, but outside their usual environment, for a period not exceeding 12 months and whose main purpose in visiting is other than an activity remunerated from within the country visited.
