Number of international tourist arrivals reached 523 mil in 2017 in European Union, according to Eurostat. This is 7.84 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, number of international tourist arrivals in European Union reached an all time high of 523 mil in 2017 and an all time low of 259 mil in 1995. When compared to European Union's main peers, number of international tourist arrivals in China amounted to 60.7 mil, 28.7 mil in Japan, 24.4 mil in Russia and 76.9 mil in USA in 2017.
