Historically, number of international tourist arrivals in Mongolia reached an all time high of 0.476 mil in 2012 and an all time low of 0.071 mil in 1996. When compared to Mongolia's main peers, number of international tourist arrivals in China amounted to 60.7 mil, 7.70 mil in Kazakhstan, 4.57 mil in Kyrgyzstan and 24.4 mil in Russia in 2017.
