Number of international tourist arrivals reached 14.2 mil in 2017 in Ukraine, according to Eurostat. This is 6.73 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, number of international tourist arrivals in Ukraine reached an all time high of 25.4 mil in 2008 and an all time low of 3.72 mil in 1995. When compared to Ukraine's main peers, number of international tourist arrivals in Poland amounted to 18.3 mil, 10.9 mil in Romania and 24.4 mil in Russia in 2017.
Ukraine has been ranked 27th within the group of 149 countries we follow in terms of number of international tourist arrivals, 16 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
The number of international tourists who travel to a country other than that in which they have their usual residence, but outside their usual environment, for a period not exceeding 12 months and whose main purpose in visiting is other than an activity remunerated from within the country visited.
