Number of international tourist departures reached 0.681 mil in 2018 in Panama, according to Eurostat. This is 25.7 % less than in the previous year.

Historically, number of international tourist departures in Panama reached an all time high of 0.917 mil in 2017 and an all time low of 0.185 mil in 1995. When compared to Panama's main peers, number of international tourist departures in Colombia amounted to 4.37 mil, 1.08 mil in Costa Rica and 0.974 mil in Nicaragua in 2018.
