Lignite coal production reached 7,012 kt in 2015 in Kazakhstan, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 1.97% less than in the previous year.
Historically, lignite coal production in Kazakhstan reached an all time high of 9,224 kt in 2011 and an all time low of 1,890 kt in 1998.
Kazakhstan has been ranked 20th within the group of 35 countries we follow in terms of lignite coal production.
