Based on a comparison of 8 countries in 2015, Australia ranked the highest in lithium minerals production with 428,000 tonnes followed by Chile and Zimbabwe. On the other end of the scale was USA with 900 tonnes, China with 2,200 tonnes and Brazil with 8,500 tonnes.
