Historically, indigenous mutton & goat meat production in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 4.00 kt in 1967 and an all time low of 1.00 kt in 2007. When compared to Sri Lanka's main peers, indigenous mutton & goat meat production in India amounted to 762 kt, 1.01 kt in Malaysia and 47.4 kt in Myanmar in 2014.
