Non-performing loans as a share of bank assets reached 44.3 % in 2017 in Ukraine, according to the National Central Bank. This is 40.8 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, non-performing loans as a share of bank assets in Ukraine reached an all time high of 47.2 % in 2006 and an all time low of 3.31 % in 2008. When compared to Ukraine's main peers, non-performing loans as a share of bank assets in Poland amounted to 3.98 % and 7.24 % in Russia in 2017.
