Non-performing loans reached 161 SKR bil in 2017 in Sri Lanka, according to the National Central Bank. This is 10.1 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, non-performing loans in Sri Lanka reached an all time high of 191 SKR bil in 2013 and an all time low of 99.3 SKR bil in 2011. When compared to Sri Lanka's main peers, non-performing loans in India amounted to 9,058 INR bil, 24.4 MYR bil in Malaysia and 2.46 MVR bil in Maldives in 2017.
