Pig iron production reached 2,451 kt in 2015 in Egypt, according to the National Statistical Office. This is 15.0% less than in the previous year.
Historically, pig iron production in Egypt reached an all time high of 4,200 kt in 2006 and an all time low of 103 kt in 1985.
