Historically, production of cars per 1,000 people in Slovenia reached an all time high of 102 vehicles in 2018 and an all time low of 23.6 vehicles in 1995. When compared to Slovenia's main peers, production of cars per 1,000 people in Austria amounted to 18.6 vehicles, 51.7 vehicles in Hungary and 8.98 vehicles in Italy in 2019.
