Production of motor vehicles reached 406 thousand in 2020 in Hungary, according to ACEA. This is 18.4 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, production of motor vehicles in Hungary reached an all time high of 527 thousand in 2016 and an all time low of 123 thousand in 2004. When compared to Hungary's main peers, production of motor vehicles in Austria amounted to 105 thousand, 1,159 thousand in Czech Republic, 451 thousand in Poland and 985 thousand in Slovakia in 2020.
Hungary has been ranked 26th within the group of 50 countries we follow in terms of production of motor vehicles, 6 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
Motor vehicles include cars, buses, and freight vehicles but do not include two-wheelers.
