Sales of passenger cars reached 26.6 thousand in 2019 in Estonia, according to ACEA. This is 1.11 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in Estonia reached an all time high of 53.2 thousand in 1993 and an all time low of 6.86 thousand in 1999. When compared to Estonia's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Finland amounted to 114 thousand, 18.2 thousand in Latvia, 46.5 thousand in Lithuania and 1,568 thousand in Russia in 2019.
Estonia has been ranked 75th within the group of 140 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 17 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
Passenger cars refer to road motor vehicles, other than two-wheelers, intended for the carriage of passengers and designed to seat no more than nine people (including the driver).
