Sales of passenger cars reached 45.2 thousand in 2020 in Luxembourg, according to ACEA. This is 17.9 % less than in the previous year.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in Luxembourg reached an all time high of 55.0 thousand in 2019 and an all time low of 8.01 thousand in 1967. When compared to Luxembourg's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Belgium amounted to 431 thousand, 1,650 thousand in France, 2,918 thousand in Germany and 358 thousand in Netherlands in 2020.
Luxembourg has been ranked 24th within the group of 31 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 38 places above the position seen 10 years ago.
