Sales of passenger cars reached 4.06 thousand in 2019 in Macedonia, according to ACEA. This is 4.50 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in Macedonia reached an all time high of 32.6 thousand in 2002 and an all time low of 2.00 thousand in 2013. When compared to Macedonia's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Albania amounted to 3.01 thousand, 35.4 thousand in Bulgaria and 114 thousand in Greece in 2019.
Macedonia has been ranked 108th within the group of 141 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 10 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
Passenger cars refer to road motor vehicles, other than two-wheelers, intended for the carriage of passengers and designed to seat no more than nine people (including the driver).
