Historically, sales of passenger cars in Serbia reached an all time high of 36.2 thousand in 2008 and an all time low of 21.6 thousand in 2005. When compared to Serbia's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to 10.0 thousand, 63.0 thousand in Croatia, 158 thousand in Hungary and 162 thousand in Romania in 2019.
