Sales of passenger cars reached 88.4 thousand in 2019 in Ukraine, according to ACEA. This is 8.01 % more than in the previous year.
Historically, sales of passenger cars in Ukraine reached an all time high of 600 thousand in 2008 and an all time low of 46.5 thousand in 2015. When compared to Ukraine's main peers, sales of passenger cars in Poland amounted to 556 thousand, 162 thousand in Romania and 1,568 thousand in Russia in 2019.
Ukraine has been ranked 56th within the group of 140 countries we follow in terms of sales of passenger cars, 22 places behind the position seen 10 years ago.
Passenger cars refer to road motor vehicles, other than two-wheelers, intended for the carriage of passengers and designed to seat no more than nine people (including the driver).
